About me

I was born and raised in Roermond, Netherlands. In 1996 I moved to Utrecht to attend college. In the year 2000 I moved to Berlin, Germany for a 4-month internship. After the internship I decided to stay in Berlin and I started working for Bierlinie. Bierlinie imports special beers from all over the world and distributes countrywide. I was a sales manager for bars and restaurants

In 2004 I quit my job and started to work for eBay. eBay has its European Headquarters in Berlin from where its offers customer support for the eBay sites Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and Italy. I worked for the Seller Outreach department where I gave sellers advice about increasing their businesses and how to develop strategies to work more efficiently and economically.

In 2007 I accepted a new opportunity. Nowadays I work for ChannelAdvisor, a company which helps the world sell online. I work as a customer support analyst giving support and doing trouble shooting for our online-tool Merchant. Merchant is a multi-platform selling solution based on SKUs. It helps sellers to offer their goods on different marketplaces. Additionally, using the software sellers can list items in their own online stores.

Right now I am living in the district of Friedrichshain in Berlin. Together with two Dutch friends I have 4-room apartment with garden. In my spare time I play table foosball and like to go to the games of 1. FC Union Berlin.

From time to time I sell goods which I dont need anymore on eBay. You could take a look in my eBay store if there is something you could use.

I wish you lots of fun reading my weblog. Dont hesitate to send me an email if you have any questions or want to suggest something which should be on my weblog.

Gijs.
